*Around 2 weeks later*
‘Here come my little angels!’ I said as I managed to pick Minho and Soraya. They giggled as they hugged into my neck and kissed there.
‘Looks like they love their hugs just as much as their Appas,’ Jungkook said as he approached and took Soraya up on his shoulders.
‘We all love hugs Appa!’ Minho said proudly. I nodded as I high fived with him.
‘That’s right. You tell Appa Kooks!’ I said with a smile as we took them to the kitchen where Jin and Yoongi were cooking breakfast while Hoseok and Jimin were setting up the table.
‘Hey everyone,’ Jin said with a big smile while Jungkook and I set the kids in the highchairs.
‘Where are Joon and Al?’ I asked as I took the plates from Jimin while I gave him a quick peck.
‘Joon went to go get her. She’s so damned stubborn. She stayed awake at night because she got carried away with the writing of her new book,’ Yoongi said with a frown.
‘Well, you got to understand her Yoongs. Writing is her biggest passion and nighttime tends to make her more creative,’ Hoseok said.
‘Not to mention, the house is always so busy during the day, between us, the kids or members of the pack coming and going. The night might be the only peaceful time for her to actually get some writing done,’ I said.
‘Not to mention the pressure of deadlines she has to adhere to,’ Jungkook added. ‘Oh here she comes. Awhh look at her, she’s so sleepy and cute,’ Jungkook said as he approached her and gave her a kiss on the cheek.
‘Good morning. Sorry, I overslept,’ she said, yawning and stretching.
‘MAMA!!’ Minho and Soraya both squealed at the sight of their mother. She instantly smiled as she went to them.
‘My babies,’ she said, kissing the top of their heads. ‘Aish you’re better than mama in the morning,’ she mumbled as she ruffled Minhos’ hair. She sat down on the chair as the food was finally served.
‘This smells wonderful guys and it looks amazing too,’ I said as I reached for my own chopsticks.
‘Yeah, Tae’s right. It’s delicious,’ Namjoon said as everyone started to delve in. My eyes fell on Alina who seemed to be playing with her food rather than eat as she focused more on feeding Soraya her cereal.
‘Princess, eat. I’ll feed Soraya myself,’ Jungkook said but Alina shook her head.
‘It’s fine Kooks. Besides, I um, I have a bit of an upset stomach,’ she said as she fed Soraya. The boys and I all stopped as we looked at one another. The last time she had a stomach ache was when she was pregnant, although it wasn’t the only time. She used to get them sometimes before that too.
‘Jagiya could it be…’ Jin began but she quickly shook her head and giggled while she raised her hand to tell him to slow down.
‘Yah I just said upset stomach not morning sickness. Don’t rush ahead. Besides, I ended up snacking while working last night and it must have upset my stomach,’ she said.
‘Whatever you say babe,’ Namjoon said even though he did not sound so convincing. ‘Still, you look tired from your lack of sleep, so try to rest,’ he said.
‘I need to take the kids to the treehouse and do the house chores. Rest can wait,’ she said with a roll of her eyes.
‘Yoongs, Joon and I have patrol this morning. We can drop the kids ourselves,’ I said.
‘And we can do the house chores jagiya. It’s only fair that we give our share,’ Hoseok added. She looked at, almost as if not sure whether to accept or not.
‘Before you ask, yes, we’re sure. You need to rest if you want to write good stories baby,’ Jungkook said.
‘Fine. I guess a little more sleep won’t hurt,’ she said as she looked at us with a warm smile. ‘Save me some food. I’ll heat it up later,’ she said as she stood up.
‘Mama? Are you okay?’ Minho asked with huge, big eyes. He looked worried, almost upset. That boy always seemed to be in tune with how we’re feeling, especially his mother and sister. Alina smiled as she kissed his head.
‘Yes baby, Mama is okay, just tired and needs sleep. You be a good boy at the tree house. No more frog jokes on Miss Lily,’ she warned him. Minho looked down as he bit on his lower lip.
‘I only did that once,’ he mumbled. Alina laughed before she gave him another kiss, followed by a kiss to Soraya. I watched her as she left the room and went back to her bedroom.
‘Aish I hope she’s okay,’ Jimin mumbled as he bit his own bottom lip in worry. He wasn’t even eating, but rather playing with his food.
‘Maybe it’s just exhaustion catching up with her,’ Jin commented while I nodded.
‘Do you think she could be pregnant again?’ Jungkook asked, a certain glow to his face and hope to his voice. I laughed and shrugged.
‘Could be but it might be too early to tell. In Minho her scent changed all of a sudden but with Soraya it changed more slowly so she might take some time to show,’ I said.
‘Ohh I hope she’s pregnant! Can you imagine more pups running around?’ Jimin asked, finally perking up.
‘That would be fantastic,’ Namjoon said as he turned to Minho and Soraya. ‘How would you feel about a little sister or little brother?’ he asked.
Minho’s eyes went wide as he smiled while Soraya simply looked confused, which in turn made me chuckle.
‘Ohhh does Mama have another baby in her tummy?’ Minho asked.
‘We’re not sure yet buddy,’ Yoongi said while Soraya just blinked her eyes. ‘We’ll have to wait to find out but would you like that?’ he asked.
‘YES!’ Minho yelled as he clapped his hands enthusiastically. I laughed louder as I looked at our kids.
‘I’m finished with food. I’m going to go cuddle with her,’ Jimin said. I smiled, not surprised. Jimin was always so cuddly, loving to cling against anyone but even more so to Alina whenever she’s pregnant or on her period. ‘Hobi, Jinnie, Kooks, I’ll help with the house chores later. I can do the top floors myself,’ Jimin said.
‘It’s okay Jiminie. You can stay with Al, keep an eye on her,’ Hoseok said as Jimin nodded. He stood up, put his plate in the sink and walked next to Minho and Soraya.
‘Be good at school and listen to your teachers,’ he said as he kissed their foreheads. They smiled and nodded. Jimin smiled his cute smile and left towards the bedroom.
‘Okay pups, finish up because we need to get you dressed and get on our way,’ I said as I stood up.
Namjoon, Yoongi and I all stood as we watched Minho take his sister’s hand and lead her inside the Tree House. They both turned and waved at us, making my heart flutter before they went in.
‘Minho is such an amazing big brother, isn’t he?’ I asked as the two of them nodded.
‘Definitely. He’s kind and brave and he’s also protective of Soraya,’ Yoongi said.
‘If I could, I would spend every waking moment with them,’ Namjoon said while Yoongi and I both nodded.
‘We know what you mean, but this was important. I’m glad that we managed to establish this schooling system. At least they get as close as they can get to a proper, normal education,’ I said.
‘Yeah and they also teach them the other stuff – the important stuff for our survival,’ Yoongi said while I nodded.
‘Anyways, we should get to work,’ I said as the others nodded, knowing we needed to start our patrol.
We moved to a “spot” which was a patrol stop. It was basically a small room where we could remove our clothes and shoes and put them in place while we go on patrol. We removed the clothes and headed out as we transformed into our wolves.
It had been a good hour and a half of us patrol. Things had seemed to be good until a few minutes ago when we heard some unfamiliar howling. We instantly decided to rush towards there. We managed to follow the scent of three new wolves, probably somewhat young. We arrived just to see two young males, kneeling down to another one who was heavily bleeding.
‘ That looks pretty bad,’ Yoongi was quick to say as I nodded in agreement. The other two turned to look at us, fear in their eyes.
I changed into my human form as did Yoongi and Namjoon. ‘We’re not going to hurt you,’ I said quickly. ‘My name is Taehyung. These are Yoongi and Namjoon. What happened?’ I asked as I walked closer while remaining cautious.
‘We… we were in the city, trying to work to get some money… hunters… there were hunters. They found me…hyung… he… he protected me,’ one of them said as he cried. ‘This is all my fault,’ he cried out.
‘Shh Beomgyu, don’t say that. You know Yeonjun would do anything for our family,’ the other one said as he put his hand on the other’s shoulder. ‘His wounds… he got stabbed with a silver dagger and he has lashes on his chest,’ he explained.
‘He’s losing a lot of blood, plus the infection from the silver is spreading,’ Namjoon explained, more to me than to the poor boys.
‘We can help. Our mate, she’s a healer. She can heal your brother,’ I said. They looked at each other and then their brother.
‘If you save him, we will pledge our undying loyalty to you,’ one of them said.
‘Come on, let’s get you home,’ I said as I transformed back into my wolf form.
